| Enjoy our Minnesota fishing resort on
Pelican Lake's 11,000
acres of water with 54 miles of shoreline
and over 50 islands. The lake is well known
for it's many different fish species
including perch, crappies, bluegills, largemouth
and smallmouth bass, walleyes, northern
pike, and bullheads. There is nothing like
a good old fashioned Minnesota fishing
vacation for fun and relaxation. Entire
families benefit from spending quality time
together and our northern Minnesota resort
is the perfect vacation destination for a
relaxing family and fishing vacation. With
proper planning teaching a young child how
to fish can be a very rewarding experience.
There are plenty of pan fish in Pelican Lake
to make this a worthy adventure when you
have small children. Make sure to have an
experienced fisher person for each two
children under 8 years of age. Plan a short
fishing trip for the first time out. Young
children tend to get restless after a few
hours. If you're interested in a guided trip
please give us a call and we can set the
fishing trip up in advance.
Guide Service – We have an independent guide
available for full- or half-days. Call in
advance for rates or reservations. "Range

As for Pelican Lake...well..there isn't a
statue of a bluegill in Orr for nothing.
You'll catch quality (nine inch fish are
common) and quality bluegill, and you'll
find crappies and plenty of aggressive pike.
"Pelican is one of the few lakes where
you can catch large and smallmouth bass,"
says Fishing Supervisor Kevin Peterson. "If
you want to catch largemouth bass, and some
big ones, I can't think of a better place."
